I Randomly Quit Drinking Alcohol And The Benefits Are Incredible

i randomly quit drinking alcohol and the benefits are incredible

No more drunk texting, late night drives to Taco Bell, lost debit cards or waking up feeling like death. I randomly quit drinking and the benefits have been amazing. I feel stronger physically, mentally, and spiritually. Here is what happened after living 1-month alcohol-free.

I’ve lost weight, my skin has cleared up, and I’ve become obsessed with drinking water.

Lately, I’ve received tons of compliments from people telling me that I appear happier and more radiant than ever before. I’ve been asked more than once what my secret is, and the answer is quite simple: I’m slowly eliminating toxic things from my life. Alcohol being one.

Summer glow and 30 days alcohol-free

Quitting alcohol in your early 20s is an interesting experience. It can be a bit difficult and even tempting in the beginning when all your friends are going out and getting hammered without you. But knowing that you’re doing something to better yourself is such a rewarding feeling. And trust me, it’ll be worth it.

For starters, I no longer suffer through killer hangovers. As a result of not feeling like crap every morning,  I wake up early and do things I don’t usually like stretch and workout.

I simply quit drinking because I was tired of feeling like shit. Mornings were always the worst. After a night out, I’d feel lazy as hell, uninspired and unwilling to get out of bed.

Whether we realize it or not, our bodies need the rest. Simply taking a break from something you enjoy is always an enlightening yet challenging experience. Plus it’s an excellent way to strengthen the mind and body!

Benefits of quitting:

  • I only drink water
  • Better sleep
  • My skin is clearer and more vibrant ever
  • I’ve saved more money
  • Weight loss
  • More productive, focused and organized
  • More energetic
  • Wake up early
  • Healthy mind, body, and spirit~

After being in a relationship I also realized there’s no point. People usually drink to be social, meet new people, or get laid. Going out to the bar or club with your boyfriend/girlfriend isn’t something I consider fun. I rather go to the movies, Netflix & chill or go to a damn nature trail. There are other things I’d rather do with my time and money, then get drunk and feel like death the next day.

TBH, alcohol did more harm and no good. I realized it just wasn’t worth it anymore. Whenever I had a few too many drinks, I’d end up wasting money, embarrass myself in public, or did things id later regret.

Unfortunately, booze has been the cause of most of the problems in my life. It sucks it took me so long to realize it, but I’m glad I’ve come to my senses. I now see how toxic and poisonous it was to my mind and body. Now, I feel better than ever before.
