My $10 Skin Care Routine That Works

With Summer approaching, now is the perfect time to achieve a brighter, clearer and natural appearance. Up until recently, every skin product I found was either was too expensive, while others did bring immediate results. After months of searching, I finally discovered two affordable skin care products that have helped improve my breakouts and my confidence.

Up until recently, every skin product I found was either was too expensive, while others did not help me achieve the results I wanted.

Since we all have different skin types, I can’t speak for everybody. However, with this being my first beauty blog post, I wanted to focus on a product that works.

I also want to point out that I am I not getting paid to promote these products, I genuinely love them! With that being said, my everyday skin care routine is simple, effective, and very affordable.

Affordable Skin Care Products

Background: I have dry skin, with mild to severe forehead breakouts.

My dryness level ranks a 7. For instance, anytime I wash my face, take a shower, or jump in the pool my skin dries out in a matter of seconds and starts to peel. As a result, I can’t wear any powder or matted makeup (but that is my personal choice). However, although my skin type leans more on the dry side, these products work well for both oily and dry skin.

These products keep my skin feeling hydrated and soft all day long.

Unscented St. Ives Nourished and Smooth Oatmeal Scrub and Mask – $3.17

As someone with relatively dry and sensitive skin, I must say that this unscented oatmeal scrub and mask has done wonders for me!

I’ve been using it every day, twice a day for about six weeks now. It’s very gentle on the skin and effectively smooths out the dryness.

After about two weeks, I started to notice a positive change. Compared to most face scrubs, the texture is pretty delicate and smooth. Therefore, it’s very suitable for people with dry or sensitive skin.

Honestly, I was a bit shocked at how effective this product is, considering its only $3.17!

For the price, you have nothing to lose. My only regret is not trying this product out sooner. If you plan on giving it a try, I recommend using it consistently every day for immediate results.

Moisturize: Pond’s Dry Skin Cream $6.89

I am currently using Ponds Hydrating Dry Skin Face Moisturizer, and it’s by far my favorite face moisturizer. Not only because of the price, but also because of the hydrating and long-lasting effect.

If you have dry skin, it’s essential that you add this cream to your skincare collection. After I wash my face, I apply a small amount evenly through every morning and night.

Health Facts: Hypoallergenic, formaldehyde-free, Sulfate-free, dye-free, fluoride-free, aluminum-free

Overall, the results have been pretty unbelievable. Sometimes you don’t need to invest in an expensive brand to achieve the results you want. I have used expensive, name-brand products in the past, but overall, I have come to realize that less is always more.

*If you use any of these must-have skin care products or you decide to try it out, I would love to hear about your experience.
