Tips For Career Growth and Success

As a 23-year-old who graduated less than three months ago, I never imagined I’d land a corporate marketing position working for the number one entertainment company in the world, while also turning my passion into a full-time side hustle.

How did I do it? By learning from my mistakes, building positive, relationships, setting goals for myself and turning my passion into a career.

1. Network. Network. Network!
The relationships you have with people you work with will impact your career profoundly. You might no realize it in the beginning, but building positive relationships with everyone you work with is beneficial to long-term career growth. Having good work relationships will lead to trust and loyalty.

2. Be positive
To achieve personal growth and success starts and ends with you. Your thoughts and actions. Your routine. Your willingness to learn and grow. Your worldview. Your Inner dialogue. Your beliefs. Your ego. It all comes down to you. Your reality is influenced by your subconscious.
3. Continuous learning
Most of us think we are right and have all the answers. But honestly, we don’t know a damn thing. Knowledge is infinite. And just because you believe something, doesn’t make it true. The best quality you can have is a willingness to learn. Always be open to learning new concepts and listen to people whose opinion differs your own. Be willing to challenge your own thinking.

4. Be the master of your own life
Every single one of us has the potential to be so much more. But we’ve been conditioned to think we’re not good enough, pretty enough, rich enough, or smart enough. You are not alone. When life gives you crap and turmoil, it’s easy to drift and continue to make the same comfortable choices that are killing you, preventing you from being great.  The truth is we all fall trapped in routines and self-limiting choices.

You don’t need motivation or talent to be successful. What you need is self-discipline. Eliminate the victim mentality and be the master of your own life. You have the power to create your own reality.
